Discover 3 easy ways to help people remember more of your weekly message!
Ministry Tools and Advice

As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

Each week, your pastor spends countless hours preparing the weekly message. As technology advances, so does the opportunity to communicate many messages on many different levels. During a typical church service, there are many opportunities to communicate simply through video projection: the welcome, announcements, worship songs, Scripture readings, message notes, and more. Sometimes, each opportunity becomes more of a distraction than a benefit.

1. Consistent graphics are more effective! Many churches use a different image for each slide or section that is projected on their screen. It looks nice, but if each picture truly is worth a thousand words, how much of the message is really getting through to people? We’re a visual culture – so we tend to notice the picture before any words on the screen. One easy solution is to use the same image throughout the service. Or you can use variations of the same image so it ties it all together. Kingdom’s Sermon Series™ image sets (see left and page 9) do just that – you get 20 images that are all related to the original image, helping to create a seamless flow throughout the entire service. It will enhance – not detract from – the message.

2. Tie it all together! It’s easy to think in terms of video projection, but what happens when you also add in bulletin covers, printed discs, and more? Many different messages are being communicated with the addition of each new picture. Try coordinating each part so the same “theme” is presented throughout the entire service – from the time people walk in the door, until they leave. Kingdom® offers bulletins, disc designs, album and case inserts, and sermon slides that are all coordinated so people will leave hearing and remembering just one message – the message of God’s Word that is preached from the pulpit.

3. Remember Messages-To-Go™! Providing copies of the message available on CD (and/ or DVD and tapes) before people leave each week will present countless opportunities for them to listen to the message again, and to share it with others! And when you print your discs to match the bulletin and the video projection, it will create an instant connection! At Kingdom, our greatest desire is to help you be the most effective in communicating God’s Word to your congregation.
