How one couple is using CDs, DVDs, Messages-To-Go and a media ministry to reach thousands of people each month!

Drs. Jerry and Sherill Piscopo are the pastors of Evangel Christian Churches. Their main church is a church of about 350 people in Michigan. They are also the overseers of the Evangel Association of Churches and Ministries, a network of Evangel Churches throughout America and around the world. Over the past 10 years, they have realized the benefits of an active Messages-To-Go™ ministry and using CDs and DVDs to reach out to people.
A passion to reach people with CDs and DVDs
Each week, Evangel Christian Church makes messages of its weekly sermon available to people right after its main service. They also have a smaller seeker-friendly service where shorter messages are made available after the service. “We pastor a church like everybody else… We do 501(c)3’s, by-laws, and so forth. We also have a radio outreach ministry and we do television.” But when it comes to media ministry, Drs. Jerry and Sherill Piscopo are very passionate about its purpose.
They were first introduced to media ministry at the church they attended before Jerry started pastoring. Their media ministry started in 1989 and soon after got started with Kingdom. The media ministry was started in order to bless the people – so they could take a copy of the sermon home, listen to it again, and also give it to friends.
A growing world-wide ministry
In addition to providing Messages-To-Go™ at the weekly church services, Drs. Jerry and Sherill also use CDs to reach out to their network of churches who make up the Evangel Association of Churches and Ministries. The network is made up of about 4,700 churches and ministries worldwide – 1,500 in America and 3,200 overseas, including churches in China, Bermuda, Uzbekistan, and Africa. They also oversee 33 Bible schools in the U.S. and worldwide – including countries such as Uzbekistan, Korea, and countries in Africa!
1,500 CDs are mailed out each month!
For the past 10 years, Jerry and Sherill have connected with the churches in their network by sending out a recorded message to each of the churches and ministers… meaning they send a CD to 1,500 churches and ministers all over the country. That’s 18,000 CDs each year – and equals 180,000 copies in the last ten years!
“CDs and DVDs are a powerful tool that can be used to transfer the Gospel when you give them away, or if you charge. Right now we’re reaching 1,500 churches and ministers every month through CDs,” Jerry shared.

“CDs reach souls… they touch people and bring healing”
“You need to have one [a CD/ DVD ministry]… You have to have one,” Dr. Jerry emphasized. “You need to get started – and get CDs out.” He went on to share that one of the greatest benefits of a CD ministry is the opportunity for evangelism. “CDs reach souls, they touch people and bring healing and deliverance. And with Messages-To-Go, they can take a copy with them… there’s an immediate response.”
“It’s like, if you put it in their hands immediately, they’ll take it with them,” Sherill added. “Rather than telling them, ‘Well, we’ll send it to you in the mail.’ You lose people that way. We do it all the time – people will even call from the radio broadcast and ask if they can have a copy of the teaching, and we get it out to them right away.”
