In the early 90’s Pastor Gurney Robins started a Tape ministry with a manual Tape recorder. At that time, he never imagined that the ministry would surpass anything he ever dreamed it would become.
Close to 600 messages distributed every week!
Today he has a mailing list of people that he sends messages to every week across America. He also has a lot of messages on display (often in baskets) at places of business such as barbershops, and restaurants. Truckers also take messages all across the country. Pastor Gurney has received letters from New York, California, Florida, Puerto Rico and even Jamaica. Currently he distributes close to 600 messages (on CDs and Tapes) each week - and that doesn’t include special projects! One of the places that his messages are distributed is a furniture factory. One of the employees is giving out over 60 CDs and Tapes just by handing them out during his lunch break!
Media ministry takes no money from the church…
Over a period of 32 years he pastored 4 churches. He attributes at least 1/3 of the church growth at one of the four churches to the media ministry. He started out at a small church. Years later when Pastor Gurney started the Tape ministry he set it up completely separate from the church and took no money from the church to operate it. Over time his media ministry grew so large that when Pastor Gurney resigned his position as pastor of the church he started focusing his time on media ministry (CDs and Tapes) from a studio he set up in his home. He still does some preaching as a fill-in for a pastor, special meetings/services, at a nursing home, etc. Each week he preaches a message in his home studio. He has been doing the media ministry now for almost 15 years.
7,000 messages distributed to homes and still counting!
Pastor Gurney has involved himself in some special media ministry projects as well. In one of these projects he helped a young pastor who had strategic vision to give a package complete with tracks, a Gospel of John and Romans, a letter from his church plus a recorded message from Pastor Gurney to everyone in his county. Pastor Gurney put together what he described as “a Gospel soul winning message.” So far the young pastor has already knocked on the doors and delivered messages to over 7,000 homes and this mission is still in progress!

Discover the secret of calculating projector throw distances!
Throw Width Ratio is the relationship between the distance a projector is from the screen and the image size. It is displayed in the following format — distance : screen width.
To find the distance you need to place the projector from the screen, simply multiply your screen width by the distance ratio number. Projectors that have a zoom lens will have two different numbers for distance. These numbers allow you to calculate the minimum and maximum throw distance of the projector for your screen width with zoom fully off or on. You can place the projector anywhere between these two distances.

Q: We are having a special service where we're expecting more people than we have Communion service for — what can we do?
